AMAAAAAZING~~ I went to Uchi-Con, which is a free annual one-day, 7-8 hour-long con at the University of Chicago held by their anime club. I've gone for 3 years now and it just keeps getting better and better.

We had a huge group of friends go along, and it was so fun. They even had as their featured speaker:

CRISPIN. FREEMAN.

Yes, you read that correctly. The voice of Alucard, Kyon, Togusa, Tsume, Itachi, Amon, etc. etc. and even some blonde kid from Digimon. He HAS VOICED EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER LOVED. Bwaha.

I was a foot away from him when I walked into the room and he walked out to talk to con staff. It was like bullet time. His eyes are so blue, that by comparison, the sky will look forever grey to me.

So, that explains the new batch of pictures. was a fantastic Grell and I took her picture, so there is that as well.

Part of me regrets that I didn't cosplay Badou Nails, because they totally showed the DOGS OVA in one of their screening rooms. But we were heckling it and laughing really hard at all the random violence and generally being ridiculous. So it was super-fun. Plus DOGS on a big screen! Just awesome.

If you haven't gone yet, and you're in the Chicago area, clear whatever date in January/early spring that they have it scheduled next year. <3 It's a good time, and I'd love to see you there.
